SPINAL
DECOMPRESSION

1
WHAT IS SPINAL DECOMPRESSION?
Spinal Decompression is a therapy used for gently stretching of the spinal vertebras in order to reposition the spinal discs that are bulged, protruded and herniated.
2
WHAT DOES SPINAL DECOMPRESSION DO?
Spinal decompression will use a mechanical pully system which will pull, stretch and separate the spinal vertebrae. This stretching will cause a slight gap between the spinal vertebras where the fluid between the vertebras and discs can replenish and rehydrated the injured disc.

WHAT DOES SPINAL DECOMPRESSION LOOK LIKE?
Spinal Decompression uses a table similar to a chiropractic adjusting table. Patients will lay either face down for a lumbar treatment or face up on the table for a cervical treatment. A few safety straps are placed comfortably on the patient so the intended area is properly stretched. The straps are connected to a mechanical pully system that will gently pull and stretch the patients spine.
